RF Online Items - Armor Introduction

In RF online, Armor is a wearable defensive item which increases your defense so that you take less damage from enemy attacks. There are five areas on your character that may be equipped with armor: the head, torso, arms, legs, and feet.

Armor Types

There are four types of armor, each with differing armor points, attributes, and effects. The two armor types wearable by all races are Close Range and Long Range, while Force armor is wearable only by Cora and Bellato, and Launcher armor is wearable only by Accretia.

Close Range Armor
Close Range armor has the greatest defense ability of all other armors, making it very effective for close range combat. In addition to great defense, each piece of armor increases your attack accuracy by 5. Though not noted in the item's description, Close Range armor also decreases your attack speed by a large amount.

Long Range Armor
Long Range armor has the least defense ability of all other armors, however, it is the only armor type that adds elemental resistance, making it very effective against Force based attacks. A full set of Long Range armor also increases your movement speed by 51%. This armor also has the benefit of not decreasing your attack speed.

Force Armor
Force armor has more defense than Long Range armor, but less than Close Range armor. This armor inceases your Force attack power, range, and maximum FP. Though not noted in the item's description, Force armor also decreases your attack speed by a small amount.

Launcher Armor
Launcher armor is the exclusive armor for the Accretian race. It has less defense than Long Range armor, and even less than Close Range armor. This armor increases Launcher attack speed, increasing the rate of fire of an Accretian when using Launcher-Class weapons.
